PATH GUIDES · YOUR REFERRAL

One thing to remember.
Say Path.

List Path as your referral source on your apartment application, and tell the leasing team Path sent you. That’s how the apartment knows to credit your referral to us.

A little detail that makes a difference.

The apartment needs to know you found it through Path so it can credit us with the referral and pay the commission. That commission is where your cash back comes from.

List Path as your referral source.

On the application. With the leasing team. Say Path.

Saving an apartment or viewing it on Path doesn’t tell the apartment who referred you. Make sure the leasing team has Path recorded.

On the application, put Path.

Look for a field called “Referral source,” “How did you hear about us?” or something similar.

  1. Enter Path.

If there’s a text box, type Path as your referral source.

  2. Check before you submit.

Make sure Path appears in the referral field, then keep a copy of your application or confirmation for your records.

  3. No place to enter it? Ask.

If the form only has a dropdown, or there’s no referral field, ask the leasing team how to record Path. You can contact us for help.

A simple sentence does the job.

When you first contact the apartment or arrive for your tour, tell the leasing team you found the community through Path.

HERE’S WHAT TO SAY
“I found this apartment through Path. Please list Path as my referral source.”

Before you apply, ask them to confirm they have Path noted. Put Path on the application too, even if you’ve already mentioned it in person.

Keep Path in the loop.

Once you’ve signed your lease, open your Path dashboard and submit your lease details. We’ll use them to verify your lease and move-in with the apartment.

Once the apartment pays Path, we send you cash back. See how cash back works.

A few good questions.

What if I already applied and forgot to list Path?
Contact the leasing team and let Path know as soon as you can. Ask whether the apartment can add Path as your referral source. The apartment needs to accept the referral and pay Path for cash back to be available.
What if I already contacted or toured the apartment?
Tell Path what has happened so far before relying on a cash-back estimate. The team can help check whether the apartment can credit the referral to Path.
What if Path isn’t in the dropdown?
Ask the leasing team which option records Path as your referral source. If the form offers an “Other” option with a text field, you can enter Path there and confirm it with the team.
Is telling the leasing team enough?
Tell them and put Path on your application wherever possible. If the form has no referral field, ask the leasing team to confirm that they have recorded Path.
Does listing Path guarantee my cash back?
It gives the apartment the referral information it needs. Cash back follows your verified move-in and the apartment paying Path its referral commission.
Can Path help me sort this out?
Yes. Email hello@pathhomeservices.com with the apartment name and where you are in the process. If you already have app access, you can also contact the team in Messages.
